Definition of Terms

Nonpublic personal information is nonpublic personally identifiable financial information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you.  This information will be considered to be information about you that is not made available to the public.  For example,  nonpublic personal information may include information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.  A consumer is any individual who is seeking to obtain or has obtained a financial product or service from us primarily for personal, family, or household purposes. A customer is a consumer who has a continuing relationship with us.  A former customer is an individual whose customer relationship with the bank has been concluded or no longer exists.  An affiliate is a company related to us by common control or ownership.  A nonaffiliated third party is a person, a company, an entity, or a financial institution that is not related to us by common control or ownership.  A  third party is a person, a company, an entity, or a financial institution.

Regarding Proper Maintenance and Disposal

The bank makes it a practice to maintain and dispose of all information including customer information, consumer, and noncustomer information in the same manner.  The Bank's procedures for maintaining all customer, consumer, and noncustomer information is that the information will be stored in the appropriate location until the bank no longer has use for the information.  The information will be stored as long as is required by bank regulations prior to disposal.  Once it is time to dispose of the information, the information will be shredded by the bank's shredding machines.

It is important to us to maintain accurate, complete, and current information.  We also take steps to safeguard customer and non customer information.  We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.  We share nonpublic personal information with companies that agree to keep your information confidential, that limit the use and reuse of that information, and that maintain privacy standards similar to ours.  We strive daily to earn and maintain your trust and confidence.

The First State Bank agrees to protect and/or dispose of  all customers', former customers', and noncustomers' information in a manner consistent with all rules and regulations according to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999.

We do not collect cookie information on our website at www.firstkeyesbank.com.  We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

Bank Reserves the Right To Amend Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy at any time upon giving appropriate notice as required by law.  If we make changes to our privacy notice, we will mail a copy to you.

Our Privacy Notice is not intended to induce you to do business with us and does not constitute a contract or other agreement with you.  This Privacy Notice applies only to individuals who obtain a financial product or service from us primarily for a personal, family, or household purpose.
